Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple
The Brahmotsavalu of Lord Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy is the most significant festival of this temple. It is celebrated over three glorious days, beginning on Visakha Shuddha Pournami (the full moon day of the Visakha/Ashada month). During the Brahmotsavalu, the deity is adorned in special Alankarams each day. Processions with the utsava murthi (processional idol) are carried through the village streets on decorated vahanas (vehicles). Thousands of devotees from surrounding villages and towns gather to witness the grand celebrations.
Flag hoisting ceremony (Dhwajarohanam), Ankurarpanam, special Abhishekam and grand Alankaram of the deity. The festival officially begins with Vedic rituals and prayers.
Various Vahana Sevas (processions on decorated vehicles), Pallaki Seva (palanquin procession), cultural programs, and mass Annadanam for all devotees.
The grand Rathotsavam (chariot procession) through the village, Pushpa Yagam (flower festival), Chakra Snanam (sacred bath), and Dhwaja Avarohanam (flag lowering) marking the conclusion.
